Tenerife nightlife: the island that never closes
Tenerife is the one European island where the season never ends. 22 degrees in January, clubs open 365 nights a year and flights under 100 euros: this is where you go out when everywhere else has shut for winter.
◈ Season · All year, busiest from November to April

Veronicas Strip, the centre of it all
Everything funnels into a 300 metre street in Playa de las Américas. Doors open around 11 pm, the street fills by 1 am and does not empty before 6. Entry is often free before midnight, promoters hand out passes all evening, and the clubs sit door to door. It is loud and packed, which is exactly the point.
The clubs that matter
Papagayo Beach Club is the institution: feet in the sand by day, a proper club by night, with a different night every day of the week. Monkey Beach Club plays the beach and white party card. Mala Mía Club owns the reggaeton and urban slot. Kaluna Beach Club runs the afternoon pool parties. WILD is the disco bar where the night starts.
Costa Adeje and the pool parties
In the south, the Costa Adeje hotels open their pools to day guests. Pool parties start around noon and finish at sunset, which leaves the whole night ahead of you. It is the format groups like: a day at the pool, dinner, then Veronicas.
What it actually costs
Expect 10 to 25 euros to get into a club depending on the night and the hour, 20 to 35 for a pool party with a drink, 6 to 9 euros a drink. Clearly cheaper than Ibiza, slightly more than Malta. Night buses link Las Américas, Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje until the early hours.
Which month to pick
December to March is peak: northern Europeans come down for the sun, the Veronicas clubs run every night and terraces are full midweek. July and August are Spanish, hotter and more family-heavy. September, October and November are the quiet months, fewer people and softer prices, but the street never fully sleeps. There is no month when everything shuts.

What people ask us
When is the best time to party in Tenerife?+
There is no bad one. Summer is hottest and busiest with Spanish visitors, winter draws northern Europeans escaping the cold. Clubs run all year, unlike the Greek islands or Malta.
Where do you go out in Tenerife?+
Veronicas Strip in Playa de las Américas holds most of the clubs. Costa Adeje is quieter and leans towards pool parties and beach clubs. The north, around Puerto de la Cruz, has a more local and calmer nightlife.
Do you need to book ahead?+
For the Veronicas clubs, rarely. For pool parties and weekend themed nights, yes: places sell out and the price rises as the date approaches.
What is the age limit?+
18 in most venues. ID is checked at the door, a national ID card or passport is enough.
North or south Tenerife for nightlife?+
The south, without question. Playa de las Américas, Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje hold the clubs, beach clubs and pool parties. The north, around Puerto de la Cruz and Santa Cruz, has bars and a pleasant local scene but nothing like the density of the south.
